CROOKS went to the trouble of removing fence palings at a Hampton Park home to steal garden tools.
Once the offenders had gained entry through a rear fence they forced open a shed door and took with them a lawn mower, brushcutter and other garden equipment.
The thieves escaped the same way they got into the Cornell Place property between 10.30pm on Saturday 9 July and 9am the following morning.
Police conducted a doorknock after the incident was reported, but are still looking for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Narre Warren police station on 9705 3111.
Even a shed isn’t safe
