CRANBOURNE Racecourse will be covered in a thick coat of white snow next month.
The July winter festival, The Big Freeze, will kick off on Saturday 2 July and host a myriad of school holiday fun for families.
Melbourne’s freshest winter festival has a focus on keeping kids active and creative.
There will be a snow pit, snowball toss, winter inflatable slide, snow village and forest, workshops, craft and construction play available from July 2 to 10.
Founder of The Big Freeze, Anna Brown said the inspiration for the festival came from her own family’s experiences.
“It came from having two young children and the desire for them to experience the fun of the snow without having to take them to the snowfields,” Ms Brown said.
“A snow trip can be intimidating and expensive for parents, so The Big Freeze will give them an experience without the cost and stress.”
