THE Australian Defence Force (ADF) has been conducting counter-terrorism training in the Melbourne area.
Five military helicopters were observed on Monday morning 30 May flying low over the Cranbourne area.
A spokesperson for the ADF confirmed the counter-terrorism training in Melbourne had concluded and the helicopters observed over Cranbourne were returning to their base.
The ADF used military helicopters, specialist vehicles and trained personnel to train for potential terrorist scenarios.
The training scenarios are designed to test and train military personnel skills to maintain the ADF’s capability to respond to terrorism threats.
