Relay launch on track

BY JARROD McALEESE

CRANBOURNE and Narre Warren residents are invited to the Relay for Life launch at the Casey Fields Athletics Track on Friday 27 May.
Relay for Life is a chance for the community to celebrate with cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and help raise funds to combat cancer.
The launch will provide attendees with the chance to meet fellow participants and speak with 2016 Cranbourne-Narre Relay for Life committee members.
Cranbourne-Narre Relay for Life has raised more than $300,000 in its four year existence and has set its 2016 fundraising goal at $145,000.
Berwick Show Star Search for a Cause and Casey’s Got Talent 2015 winner Shanelle Jacobs will provide entertainment for the event and Relay for Life volunteer committee member Brooke Walford encourages locals to spread the word and pop in to learn more about the cause.
“Invite your Relay for Life team and friends as the launch is guaranteed to be enjoyable and will ensure, together, we all will make Cranbourne-Narre 2016 Relay for Life a success,” Ms Walford said.
Those who are unable to attend the launch but are interesting in participating in the Cranbourne-Narre Relay for Life event, which will be held on 5 and 6 November, can get more information on 1300 65 65 85 or visit www.relayforlife.org.au.
