Fatal crash: witnesses wanted

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

POLICE are appealing for witnesses into the death of a 20-year-old man who died in a horror crash in Narre Warren.
The driver from Narre Warren was travelling north along Narre Warren North Road in a stolen Holden Commodore sedan when he lost control of it.
The car crashed into the garage of a youth information centre in Webb Street, just before 3.30am on Tuesday 29 March.
Police believe the man was driving at high speed before crossing grass land, smashing down a fence and hitting the brick wall where the car subsequently caught fire.
The driver was rushed to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition, with life threatening injuries, where he later died.
The car was allegedly stolen from a Cranbourne property earlier that morning.
There have been 80 fatalities on Victorian roads so far this year, up from 64 at the same time last year.
