Hunt for purse bandit

POLICE are searching for a man who demanded a women’s purse before jumping a fence with the cash and throwing the purse back at the victim in a Cranbourne car park.
Investigators have been told a woman was standing next to her car in a hotel car park on High Street about 4.40pm on Thursday 17 March when the incident occurred.
She was approached by an unknown man who made demands for her purse, and when the woman handed over her purse the offender fled the scene.
He was last seen climbing over a rear fence and removed cash from the purse before throwing the purse back towards the woman.
Investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their inquiries.
