DETECTIVES believe that would-be thieves set a car ablaze at Merinda Park train station after failing to steal it.
The blue Nissan Pulsar was reported on fire about 4.30am on Monday 21 March, with the blaze causing extensive damage to the car.
Police believe the person involved tried to break into the car to steal it, because it had moved a short distance, but after their failed attempt the would-be thief allegedly set the car on fire.
