Car wash burglary bid fails

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

POLICE are on the lookout for three offenders who used an angle grinder and a jemmy bar in an attempt to open a security door at a Cranbourne car wash.
Cruise Car Spa on the South Gippsland Highway in Cranbourne was targeted by thieves on Monday 1 February at 4.50am.
A female and male offender and an unknown third offender parked a silver Hyundai SUV with false registration plates, SWP 154, before getting tools out in an attempted burglary.
The third offender kept a look out while the other two grinded the door.
The security alarm was set off in the process and the three offenders decamped in the SUV.
The female was wearing bright pink Adidas runners at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
