Community rallies for Bella’s fight

DOING what they do best, the Allan family and the equestrian community jumped for Bella, as the seven-year-old’s leukaemia fight continues.
Bella Allan, who has been in and out of hospital for several months, is awaiting a bone marrow transplant which got stalled due to a bout of pancreatitis.
But in true fashion her family and friends have rallied to raise more than $5000 in one day, for the Allan family, on top of the $100,000 raised through events last year.
More than 100 riders took part in the show jumping event at Langwarrin Pony Club on Sunday 14 February, and fittingly Bella’s cousin and equestrian champion, Tesse Cook, took home gold on the day.
Tesse won two top classes including the 1.25m and 1.35m on her horse Heatherton Park Alfonz.
International show jumping judges, Kevin Taranto and Annie White, and show jumping course designer Paul Williams all donated their time for the event.
The Bella army is also building a team for the Run for the Kids fund-raiser, which will be held on Sunday 20 March.
