Gunman on the loose

A driver was shot at after trying to break up an argument between a man and a woman in Cranbourne on Australia Day.
The 36-year-old Carrum Downs man was driving along Clarendon Street about 6pm on Tuesday 26 January when he noticed a man and a woman having an argument outside a house.
The driver slowed down and made it known to the pair that he saw the argument before driving off.
Minutes later when the driver was at the intersection of Clarendon and High Street, the man involved in the argument caught up with him and fired a shot at the victim’s car.
The bullet hit the car but the driver was uninjured.
The victim then drove off and called police.
Police are still searching for the man and woman who had been arguing after they fled.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or to submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
