Holiday family break-in

THIEVES struck a holidaying Lynbrook family’s home and left with a new set of wheels over the Christmas break.
A television, jewellery, cash and a grey Audi A4 sedan was stolen from an address on Cato Parkway in Lynbrook between December 20 and January 2.
The car, which was left in the garage, has yet to be found.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Darron Hedge from Narre Warren police said the offenders raided the home.
“They broke in through the backyard side gate and removed a fly screen from an en suite window,” he said.
“Unfortunately, it’s that time of year and people come home from holidays to find their house has been broken into.”
