Blaze after car crash

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

CFA crews were called out to a blaze in Junction Village this afternoon after a car crash led to a grassfire along the South Gippsland Highway.
The fire was brought under control by 4.15pm, while the driver was taken to Frankston Hospital after suffering a leg injury, but is in a stable condition.
No-one else was injured.
Several tankers contained the scrub fire which started after the crash on the highway near Craig Road, at about 4pm.
Nearby residents are being warned that smoke will be visible in the area for the next few hours.
The next update is expected on the CFA website by 8pm, or as the situation changes.
