ART work by children from across Casey will feature in a council calendar next year.
The council received more than 200 student entries for the ‘what happens to our recycling’ calendar and 13 made the final cut.
Launched earlier this month during National Recycling Week the calendar will be distributed to the participating schools in Casey.
City of Casey mayor Sam Aziz said the calendar was a great way to raise awareness around recycling especially among young residents.
“The calendar encourages them to consider the way we use products and the footprint our waste has on landfill,” Cr Aziz said.
“In creating artworks, students were invited to reflect on recycling principles but were also provided the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents.”
