TO HELP meet Casey’s growing infrastructure needs, the State Government has announced a second round of funding as part of the Interface Growth Fund.
The 10 Victorian councils included in the fund all face unprecedented growth and received a share in the initial $50 million.
The second and final round of interface funds will allow Casey and the other nine councils to apply for a share in $7 million.
A total of 26 infrastructure projects, including revitalised town centres, community centres, parks, playgrounds and reserves were funded in the first round.
Local Government Minister Natalie Hutchins said Melbourne’s interface councils had until 30 November to apply for the money.
“Our Interface Growth Fund is helping outer suburban councils get on with delivering the facilities and spaces needed by local residents,” Ms Hutchins said.
The 10 interface councils include Casey, Cardinia, Hume, Melton, Mitchell, Mornington Peninsula, Nillumbik, Whittlesea, Wyndham and Yarra Ranges.
