Diabetic robbed of medical monitor in assault

A DIABETIC teenager was assaulted and had his blood sugar monitor stolen when he was walking home from a Cranbourne McDonald’s with his friend.
The victims, 17 and 19, were walking home along Parnell Court after leaving the fast food store just before midnight on Sunday 1 November but started running when they realised they were being followed by three other men.
When the men caught up to them, one of the attackers, aged in his early twenties and pacific islander in appearance, asked the victims why they ran away then punched one of the teenagers twice in the face, who fell to the ground.
The attackers then stole the teenager’s backpack with his sugar monitor inside.
One of the attackers also hit the second victim and the three men fled the scene.
The teenagers suffered minor bruising and are in a stable condition.
