IT WAS an early morning start for Melbourne’s hot property, the ‘Butchelor’ at the FOX FM studios but he managed to snag a local cut … quite literally the girl next door.
Crowned Melbourne’s hottest butcher on Thursday 22 October Haydn Tracey-Shaw, 20, had three young women vying for a bacon roasted rose as he made the cut live on air on Friday morning.
“They were all lovely girls but I felt I had more of a connection with Melissa,” Haydn said.
The apprentice butcher and Casey Grammar School graduate decided on 20-year-old Melissa Tucci who attended Kooweerup Secondary College – just 20 minutes down the road from his old turf.
But the young tale of radio concocted love gets better – Melissa calls the same street in Cardinia home.
“It’s such a coincidence she lives a couple of doors down from me,” Haydn said.
“I’ve never met her before, it was just a freak thing – we have a few mutual friends but don’t have the same social circles.”
Haydn said he will be taking it slow with his new Facebook friend.
“I haven’t got her number yet.”
A cake decorator and sweets specialist, Melissa said she was open to love.
“He’s a bit of a cutie and I’m excited to get to know him a bit better,” she said.
A holiday somewhere warm and sunny is on the cards for the new ‘Butchelor’ duo, along with a conversation that lasts longer than a “a minute”.
