Welsh to the core

WELSH harmonies will ring out in Cranbourne this weekend.
St John’s Anglican Church Cranbourne will host the Victoria Welsh Choir’s Cor Bach on Sunday 25 October.
The church’s David Powys said the Cor Back was a select group from within the larger choir and the concert would kick off at 2.30pm.
“The choir sings in the distinctive spine-tingling four-part harmony of the traditional Welsh male choir a range of songs from Welsh, Celtic and other traditions,” he said.
“This is the second concert in the St John’s Springtime Concert Series for the year and is partly subsidised through assistance received in 2013 from the City of Casey.”
Tickets will be available at the door priced at $20 for adults, $15 concession and $5 for children.
The third concert in the series will be held on 29 November and will feature the Frankston Ladies Choir.
St John’s Anglican Church Cranbourne is at 27 Childers Street, Cranbourne.
