Thief undeterred by alarm

A THIEF has robbed a Cranbourne West home, despite setting off the alarm.
The unknown intruder jimmied open the rear kitchen door to break into the Hayton Park Boulevard house between 9.18am and 9.45am on Wednesday 16 September.
The intruder set off the alarm inside the unoccupied home, but still managed to take a money tin from the lounge room and a grey suitcase containing personal documents.
Police want to speak to a man sighted in the area at the time of the burglary who was described as Caucasian, aged 25 to 35 years old, wearing a white hooded top with emblems all over it at the time, and had scruffy and light short hair.
He was believed to have been driving a light blue hatchback, possibly a Hyundai.
