P-plater loses licence

A P-PLATE driver was detected driving at 38km/h over the speed limit on Fisheries Road in Devon Meadows on Thursday night.
He was caught by Central State Highway Patrol members travelling at 118km/h in an 80km/h zone about 5.15pm.
The driver had only held his licence for just over four months and also returned a positive drug test.
The P-plater was issued with a $569 fine, gained six demerit points and had his licence suspended for six months.
