Cranbourne Rotary goes hi-tech

CRANBOURNE Rotarians are turning to social media for a membership boost.
President Peter Sorensen was among the board inducted at the recent Rotary Club of Cranbourne changeover dinner.
He told members that the goals for the year ahead would include making better use of social media to spread the word on just what the club was doing for the community.
“We are also looking to increase membership and I hope to achieve this through an increase in community awareness,” he said.
“Plans are well advanced for a number of local and international activities.”
The club’s major fund-raiser for the year will be a charity golf day on 20 November at the Ranfurlie Golf Club.
Mr Sorensen urged anyone interested in supporting the event to contact the club.
“Funds raised on the day will be donated towards the construction of an all abilities playground at Livvi’s Place in Marriott Waters,” he said.
