GymbaROO bounces back

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

DEMAND has brought GymbaROO child development back to Hampton Park.
Bouncing their way to one day a week at the Arthur Wren Hall, Edwina Allison from the Berwick GymbaROO said it was fantastic their service would now be available every single day of the week.
“We have been running in Berwick for more than 20 years, running sessions from Tuesday to Friday so we were thrilled when a parent notified us of the spot available closer to our Cranbourne families,” Ms Allison said.
The 45-minute sessions involve a mixture of physical and academic activities for children as young as six weeks to five years old.
Ms Allison said GymbaROO was much more than just a gym for children.
“We do a lot of skills development including linking the brain with the body and motor skills such as skipping, climbing ropes, dancing and balls and hoops but we also get children ready for school, teaching them listening, concentration and pre-reading skills,” she said.
With a high demand for the pro-active early learning centre, Ms Allison said it was nice to have the option back in the Cranbourne area.
“A centre in Cranbourne shut down a few years ago and we’ve already had a great response with 20 children attending on our first day – we’re hoping the sessions available will grow much the same as our Berwick centre has,” she said.
