Brat is back

SURELY as a nation we need to address the incredibly bad performance of Nick Kyrgios at Wimbledon. He made me feel ashamed to be an Australian.
This brattish behaviour certainly does not belong on the hallowed turf of Wimbledon. He not only let himself down, but also the rest of Australia.
Bernard Tomic is a saint compared to Kyrgios and I would hope that Tennis Australia in view of Kyrgios’s behaviour will not allow him to represent this great country of ours in the Davis Cup.
Surely there cannot be a double set of standards as far as Tennis Australia is concerned. If Bernard Tomic has been stood down, then so should Kyrgios.
This boy needs to learn some manners and respect for the game, at least Tomic did not bring the game into disrepute, Kyrgios is arrogant and a disgrace to his parents, whom I have no doubt have done the best with what they have been given with respect to his upbringing, if I were his parents I would be hanging my head in shame.
Perhaps Kyrgios should not believe all that is written about him and his potential greatness. Compared to the greats of the game this boy will amount to nothing unless he can get his emotions under control.
Stella Edgar,
Berwick.
