Woolies rise to occasion

WOOLWORTHS Selandra Rise officially opened its doors yesterday Wednesday 17 June.
Store manager Belinda Rickard said the new store hoped to become known for friendly customer service with employees from the local community and, of course, for offering the freshest food at the most affordable prices.
The store will offer deli supplies, fresh produce, meat, bakery, and seafood as well as groceries, liquor and general merchandise and a little something you don’t see at every Woolies.
“We have the new concept fresh pizza bar where we make pizzas to order at the deli,” she said.
“We also have the grab and go deli sliced meats for customer convenience.”
She said the aim of the new store was to engage with local customers and to become a part of the community. To this end, they have concentrated on employing local staff.
“They live in the community as we have employed from the local Cranbourne East Secondary College,” Belinda said.
“We have also transferred internal employees who live within the area.”
To celebrate the new store, they had a grand opening on Wednesday 17 June with plenty of food sampling and entertainment with a balloon artist from 7am until 10am, then face painting after school from 3.30pm until 6.30pm.
The food sampling will continue on Sunday 21 June as well as a petting zoo from 10am until 2pm.
As part of the opening week, customers spend $50 or more, swipe their registered Everyday Rewards Card and go into the draw to win a share of $2000 worth of Woolworths WISH Gift Cards.
The new Woolworths Selandra Rise is located on the corner of Selandra Rise and Linsell Boulevards, Clyde North, and is open Monday-Sunday from 7am until 10pm. Phone 5990 4606.
