Hand up to help

THIS week we celebrate National Volunteer Week and recognise the outstanding work many volunteers do within our community.
More than 6 million Australians volunteer their time each year to help those in need.
Their efforts make a marked difference in the lives of many and they all deserve our thanks and recognition for all that they do.
Whether it is the Narre Warren SES Unit or the Hampton Park CFA they are there for us, often during our most difficult times.
Amongst many this past year I have been especially appreciative of the good work of the Casey Multi-faith Network in promoting harmony and understanding in our diverse community.
Hampton Park Progress Association for always standing up for the people of Hampton Park and Casey North Community Information and Support Service for lending a helping hand when it’s needed the most.
My heartfelt thanks for all that you do.
I encourage everyone to put their hand up and volunteer. It’s a great feeling to make a difference in the lives of those who need our help and inspiration.
Again thank you to each and every volunteer who gives so much to our local community.
Judith Graley,
Narre Warren South MP.
