Time to glorify ventures

CARDINIA and Casey businesses can put their hand up for recognition as the best in their fields.
Applications for this year’s Casey Cardinia Business Awards close at 5pm on Friday 15 May.
Cardinia mayor Leticia Wilmot said the awards celebrated and developed businesses.
“The awards offer a chance to get recognised and rewarded for your hard work, innovation and contribution to the region,” she said.
Cr Wilmot said there’d already been some great applications.
“We would love to hear from more businesses of all sizes whose passion and commitment make our region such a unique place to live, work and employ,” she said.
She said members of the community could also nominate their favourite local business for the new People’s Choice Award.
Casey Mayor Mick Moreland said the awards were a great opportunity for businesses to promote what they do.
“And with $15,000 worth of cash and prizes on offer, there’s an added incentive to get your applications in,” he said.
“The application process in itself is very valuable as it provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect on and review your businesses and requires you to step back and strategically review your business and its future.”
This year’s categories are People’s Choice Award; Casey Cardinia Business of the Year; Agriculture and Food; Business and Professional Services; Health, Education and Well-being; Home-based Business; Hospitality; Manufacturing; New Business; Retail; Social Enterprise; Tourism; Trades and Construction; and Environmental Sustainability.
Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner on Thursday 22 October.
