Kumon catches on

A CHILD who happily starts homework without being asked is just a dream for many parents. But after Megan enrolled her daughter, Alicia, into the Kumon programme last year, that’s exactly what happens every day.
“I don’t even have to help her with her sums now,” Megan said.
“She does it herself and if she gets some wrong, I’ll go through it with her and then she will correct her own mistakes.”
Megan enrolled her daughter during the 2014 Kumon Free Trial. Alicia is now in Year 1 and already learning maths concepts ahead of her grade level.
“After the first day of school, the teacher said to me that Alicia is fantastic at calculating maths,” Megan said.
“My children are just like any other child, but it just goes to show you, when you put in the effort, there are rewards. With Kumon, they’re learning to apply themselves and how to persevere.”
A two-week Kumon Free Trial is being held between 18-31 May. With Kumon centres in Cranbourne, Berwick, Narre Warren, Narre Warren South and Hampton Park, find the one closest to you by calling 1800 458 666. Free Trial registrations close 11 May and places are limited.
