IF YOU are going to get a tattoo, ensure the tattooist does not tattoo over a mole or any other pigmented skin lesion.
Tattooing a mole means that it cannot be examined properly afterwards and the signs of melanoma could be missed.
Make sure tattooists go around moles but not over them. The correct technique is shown in the picture.
