A 21-YEAR-OLD man was threatened and abused by another passenger on a Cranbourne-bound train in the early hours of Monday morning.
Just after the Merinda Park station, the Cranbourne East man was approached by the alleged offender, who also tried to take his mobile.
The alleged offender was in possession of a knife, and it is believed the mobile fell during a tussle.
Another passenger on the train had phoned police and the man was apprehended by PSOs at the Cranbourne station.
He was charged with attempted armed robbery.
