Two netted in unrelated crime

POLICE killed two birds with one stone in Cranbourne North on Saturday when they were called to a burglary in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to a property along Alamanda Way around 1.10am on Saturday, and arrested a 39-year-old man from Mulgrave as he left the house.
As police investigated the scene, they noticed bright lights coming from a neighbouring property.
Upon further investigation, they uncovered a number of cannabis plants and as a result, a 44-year-old Cranbourne North man was arrested.
The Mulgrave man was charged with burglary and the Cranbourne North man was charged with cultivating cannabis. They are both scheduled to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court.
