Chopper joy

By BRIDGET SCOTT

HILLCREST Christian College was among one of the lucky schools to witness a special helicopter landing on the school’s oval last week.
On Friday 6 March, students welcomed crew members of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
The landing was a reward for the school which successfully completed the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter’s School Program, designed to teach young students about the importance of not-for-profit emergency services and the work they do in the local community.
The program has reached around 180,000 students, and is aligned with school curriculum including engaging videos and lessons.
