THE RSPCA was thrilled to open its 14th Victorian opportunity shop on Tuesday, with the latest addition located on High Street, Cranbourne.
Around 15 dedicated volunteers were there at the Crambourne opening, with other stores located throughout the state, including as far as Bendigo, Bairnsdale and Warrnambool.
RSPCA Retail Marketing manager Margaret Droudge said proceeds made at the store made a huge difference to the work of the RSPCA.
“It will help to directly support the RSPCA Peninsula as well as the inspectorate,” she said.
“All funds go directly to support the work of the RSPCA, including the shelters and animals in need of veterinary care.”
Ms Droudge said the more volunteers the better and added it was exciting to open a store in the heart of Cranbourne.
“We are very pleased that Cranbourne has welcomed us to the area,” she said.
Anyone can donate to the store directly, with various goods accepted such as good quality clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories, books, toys, sporting goods and more.
The opportunity shop is open from 9.30am until 4pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am until 2pm on Saturday.
