A MAN in his forties is believed to have been shot in the hip after a gun accidentally discharged at a property in Clyde this morning (Tuesday).
A spokesperson from Ambulance Victoria said the man was in a serious but stable condition and was airlifted to hospital.
Victoria Police said the firearm accidentally discharged at a property on Moore Road.
They said a man, believe to be a licensed firearms holder, was putting the gun in his car.
It is believed a colleague of the man, who was standing a couple of metres away, was shot.
Worksafe were notified about the incident.
