The RSL went down narrowly to Vermont South in only their second loss for the season.
A bit of a wake up call just before the finals. A big 20 shot win by John Spencer’s team nearly got them home.

HAMPTON PARK 74 CRANBOURNE RSL 97
Last week was a must win against the bottom team, this week it was first against ninth. It should have been easy for top team Hampton Park. But once again the RSL showed everyone that their best is good enough with an impressive 23-shot win. Mal Watkinson’s team doing most of the damage with a great 25-shot win. Such margins are pretty rare in Division 2. Yvonne van der Wees team did well in winning by nine shots.

CRANBOURNE RSL 86 MOUNT WAVERLEY 62
A great performance by the team missing four regular bowlers they still proved too good for Mount Waverley. Maree Hodges’ team showing the way with a 18-shot win, while Mal Cassano’s team won by 11 shots. Ken Walker’s team were a bit unlucky dropping three shots on the last end to go down by one.

The game was close all day but Cardinia Waters were never headed and went onto win by four shots. Our other Division 8 team will get to play them in two weeks in the first final, so we hope to be able to turn the tables.
