Turn up your radio

By DAVID NAGEL

“Tharle’s kicked it… and unbelievably Cranbourne has come from seven goals down to defeat Narre Warren and will now play Beaconsfield in next Saturday’s grand final.”

IF YOU think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Bruce McAvaney or Dennis Cometti then Casey Radio 97.7FM may have just the job for you.
The Casey Radio sports team is expanding its football coverage in 2015, with a Saturday broadcast of the South East Football League to be followed by a Sunday broadcast of the VFL. Casey Radio has the opportunity to provide a few individuals the chance to join former Casey Radio volunteers like Grant Denyer (Channel 10), Daniel Harford (SEN1116), Neil Brown (RSN), Rob Cross (ABC), Tristan Foenander (Crocmedia) and Darren Parkin (SEN and Crocmedia), and gain a real kick-start to their careers.
Since 1991, Casey Radio has covered more than 1000 sporting broadcasts including VFL and local football, District cricket and picnic horse racing at Balnarring, Drouin, Healesville and Woolamai.
Vice-president and Outside Broadcast Manager Bryce Eishold said Casey Radio was the perfect place to build grounding for a career in the media and a place that values its volunteer support.
“Casey Radio requires the support of new volunteers more than ever,” Eishold said.
“We are seeking people with a passion for football and sports broadcasting, who are looking to gain experience within the media industry and join our award winning team.
“There are various positions available within our team including studio panelling, technical assistance and on-air presentation.
“If you’re a committed individual looking to widen your experience within the media industry and able to work well within a team environment, then we want to hear from you.”
If you feel you have what it takes or have a keen interest in sport, contact Bryce on 0429 466 373 or email Bryce.Eishold@caseyradio.com.au to register your interest.
