A 37-YEAR-old woman was stabbed in the chest with a pair of scissors just before 3am on Sunday 1 February.
Police were called to a house along Alma Road, Hampton Park after the female was attacked.
The attack occurred after a verbal altercation between her and the 31-year-old male offender.
The woman was taken to Dandenong Hospital and police have charged the male. Both people involved were known to each other.
