Why doesn’t it surprise me to read in the media that we might be in for a long, local feud.
Instead of working together and looking after the ratepayers, they resort to fear mongering such as “playing catch up from the Kennett era, and affecting the ability of many councils to provide services“.
What are they scared of?
I would like more transparency for starters.
How are the councillors’ wages and perks justified?
At the last state election we had three City of Casey councilors running but not a word about where the money for their campaign came from. Was it political donations or from ratepayers?
Or is this just an excuse to sell off the local assets as well?
We have already lost everything else to the private sector.
