Presentation cheque is a relief

By BRIDGET SCOTT

CRANBOURNE Inner Wheel has lent a helping hand to another local organisation to help ensure the longevity of one of its programs.
Cranbourne Information and Support Service (CISS) was presented with a $2000 cheque last Friday which will go towards its Emergency Relief Program.
Inner Wheel member Marilyn Lynch said members have hosted a few fundraising events over the past 12 months which have included a sausage sizzle, cocktail party and Christmas function.
“We wanted to give the money back to the local community,” she said.
“We know there are plenty of people doing it hard and that CISS really helped.”
The Inner Wheel group also gave money to the Cranbourne Community House as well as the Uniting Church.
Ms Lynch said her 29-member group is always on the lookout for new people to join.
“Many are original members that have done their time and we would love new people and new blood,” she said.
The Cranbourne Inner Wheel meets every second Monday at Blue Hills and welcomes a guest speaker each time.
