POLICE have reinforced the danger of fires following another deliberately lit blaze in Cranbourne last week.
Around 4.40pm on Friday 12 December a fire about 80 metres by 20 metres started on grassland between Camms Road and Bellarine Drive. A witness who lives in a house which backed on to the land called police, who believe it was deliberately lit and ask any other witnesses to come forward.
The CFA were called and police said it had potential to cause more damage and was nearby houses.
Police, who said they will have zero tolerance, urged people to be vigilant with a declared period now upon us.
