ON REMEMBRANCE Day, at age 70, I was admitted for the first time to a hospital, which was Casey Hospital Berwick, with acute appendicitis, at about 10.30am.
Going through Emergency, and Short Stay, they did scans which showed it was my appendix, and I was operated on that night.
Then I was in bed at Casey for a total of nine days.
Every step of the way, the doctors, surgeons, anaesthitists, nursing staff plus many others were just so caring and fantastic.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received over the nine days.
Thankyou Casey Hospital!
