Tractors devour Tooradin

By BRIDGET SCOTT

GET ready to hear the sound of engines revving as the annual Tooradin Tractor Pull and Truck Show rolls around again.
The 16-year-old event will roar through Rutter Reserve, Tooradin on Saturday 17 January, with trucks and tractors there from 10am.
President Allan Reeve said there is plenty to see and do on the day including car displays, burnout demonstrations and kid’s activities.
In 2005 members decided to incorporate trucks into the show and the feature has been a hit ever since.
Mr Reeve said volunteers expect to have around 90 trucks present on the day with crowds of thousands sure to come along. The tractor pull promises to be a major hit once again, varying from vintage types to modified.
Past favourites from the event will also be back again, with the junior lawn mowers on from 10am until 12pm.
Mr Reeve said the committee is happy to have plenty of sponsors on-board again this year, and will welcome the help from various community organisations.
All monies raised on the day will be dispersed back into the local community. There will also be helicopter rides available on the day, as well as a live band with alcohol available.
The trucks will be on display from 10am until 6pm and the tractors from 10am until 10pm.
Get your family along for a great day out which is sure not to disappoint.
