CRANBOURNE RSL BOWLS

IN ANOTHER giant-killing act for Division 2 on Saturday, the RSL knocked over fourth placed Clayton by seven shots.
Ray Chapman’s team leading the charge with a nine-shot victory, closely followed by Ken Hockings team who won by five shots. That’s the second, third and fourth-placed sides the RSL have defeated in the past four weeks and the team is starting to believe they are good enough at this level after a slow start to the season.

The Division 5 team tried hard all day but come up short at the end. However Max Eames team returned to the winners list with a three-shot win. The side now need to lift their game in the second half of the year as they are now in the wrong half of the ladder.

The Division 8 (4) side had a big win over Hampton Park with Arthur Underwood team leading the
way with a 19-shot victory, closely followed by Brian Eagle’s team with a 16-shot win. The team continues to improve each week and sit just outside the top four.
