Club moves to achieve

By BRIDGET SCOTT

A LOCAL calisthenics club extended its achievements above and beyond this year.
The Tooradin Calisthenics Club was established in 2013 and members stepped on to the stage for a number of competitions this year.
Members were involved in the Victorian State Titles, Royal South Street Eisteddfod and the local Melbourne Metro Competitions, with great success at them all.
Club Secretary and senior team member Corine Wilson was very proud the clubs groups, which included the Tinnies who won the highest overall place at the Victorian State Titles competition.
The sub-juniors also had a fantastic year and achieved the Reserve Aggregate at the Victorian State Titles and the Mountain District Competition.
In addition, the juniors finished the year on a high with the Reserve Aggregate at Western Port.
For the seniors, it was another success level altogether.
The team sailed through the year without a loss and managed to take out first place at each competition they were in.
In addition to its success on the stage, Tooradin Calisthenics Club also supported the Think Pink Foundation this year.
During October, the organisation held a Think Pink Week where members wore pink and made a gold coin donation to help those diagnosed with breast cancer.
From those efforts, more than $400 was raised and the event will be held annually to support those in need.
