CASEY’S younger generation will make a much-needed contribution to one of Cranbourne’s voluntary services this month.
Children from throughout Lynbrook and surrounding areas have collected toys to donate to the Cranbourne Toy Run, and fought the urge to keep them for themselves.
Cranbourne North man Jeff Morgan said he and a friend came up with the idea during one of their visits to the Lynbrook Hotel.
The hotel helped to facilitate the collection and now it’s in the hundreds.
The toys, which are all brand new and came from a toy machine in the hotel, have added up to a value of around $150.
The children will accompany their parents and Jeff this month and help hand them over to those involved in the toy run.
“It’s a good way to show them they’ve contributed to something,” Mr Morgan said.
