SEVERAL more names have been added to the list of those who have pledged to prevent violence against women.
On Tuesday night at the City of Greater Dandenong, faith leaders signed the South East Metropolitan Sub Regional Accord to Prevent Men’s Violence Against Women.
By signing this accord the men and women stated their commitment to preventing violence against women.
Pledgers have also committed to the promotion of gender equality, advocation for the prevention of men’s violence against women and they have agreed to challenge social and cultural norms that contribute to violence against women.
The group signed the pledge on White Ribbon Day and became one of many to take a firm stance on preventing violence against women.
