CRANBOURNE RSL BOWLS
NINE wins in a row. Not much more can be said about the Cranbourne RSL Pennant team which has comfortably beat all sides in the first half of the season. Let’s hope they can keep going after the break next week and continue on during the second half of the season. Well bowled to all team members.

SATURDAY
ON THE back of a huge 34-shot win in Division 2 by Mal Watkinson’s team, the RSL recorded a sound victory over the third placed Hampton Park. Three out of the four rinks won on the day and it was good to see the team bounce back after the disappointment of losing last week.
Division 2 Results: Cranbourne RSL 108 d Hampton Park 75 – R. Bligh/R. Crawford/J. Spencer/M. Watkinson won 46-12 (King of the Rinks). P. Males/J. Black/Y. Van der Wees/R. Chapman won 21-18. F. Scicluna/J. Carretero/W. Ballard/K. Hocking won 20-17. A. Reynolds/K. Walker/M. Cassano/W. Brannan lost 21-28.
It is not often that your team wins two rinks has a draw on another rink and still lose. But that’s what happen when the RSL Division 5 took on Mt Waverley. It’s only called a loss because you score 10 points for the best overall team score. Well done to the team bad luck about that one rink.
Division 5 Results: Mt Waverley 78 d Cranbourne RSL 68 – I. Maat/G. Jones/K. McLeod/J. Vowles won 21-19. A. Pichard/M. McIntyre/M. Bobetic/M. Ryan won 18-17. J. Grant/K. Currie/R. Elliott/M. Hodges drew 19-19. D. Angee/D. Meulman/G. Dore/M. Eames lost 10-23.
No one beats Cardinia Waters on their home turf and this week was no exception. Brian Eagle’s team did well to only lose by nine shots.
Division 8 (3) Results: Cardinia Waters 57 d Cranbourne RSL 31 – P. Campion/H. Reefman/P. Zimmerman/B. Eagle lost 17-27. L. Meagher/H. Mills/D. Ambrose/P. Leake lost 13-30.
