It can and will… strike twice

CRANBOURNE BOWLS

They say lighting never strikes twice in the same place but it did on Saturday at Cranbourne in Division 1 bowls with the team losing to Kingsbury by two shots.
Both sides were locked in at 74 shots each with Cranbourne falling over on the last bowl of the day giving victory to Kingsbury and another heartbreaking two-shot loss at home which was exactly the same margin as two weeks ago.
“We keep getting ourselves in this situation when we should be more consistent during the game… then we would not be in this position at the end of the day.” Skip Ray Travica said after the game.
In other results both Division 2 and Division 3 sides lost however Division 4 and Division 7 recorded good wins for the day.
Division 1
MARK Bland returned to his home club after a long time away to give a strong performance along with his team-mates, Gascoigne, Byrne and skip Quigg to record a 15-shot win. The remaining teams all lost resulting in a two-shot loss against Kingsbury.
Division 2

A win by six shots from Cheryl Wright and her team of Kevin Smith, Joyce Pearce and Brenda De lisle and a 13 shots win by Allen Surrie, Robert Gye, Len Warner and skip John Gardner.
