On the talent trail

By BRIDGET SCOTT

A SMALL church based in Cranbourne will help unveil the hidden gifts of residents city wide in a talent quest to be held this month.
Generation 12 will host a local community talent event at Westfield’s Fountain Gate on 29 November to showcase the different talents in Casey.
Elder of the church and promotion officer for the event Tui Iuliano said it’s a way to show people “what fun we have”.
Generation 12 has between 70 and 100 members, most of which have a musical background.
“Some of us have been part of other singing groups,” he said.
“We are trying to bring more performers to the church.
“We want to provide a platform for people to showcase their talents.”
Mr Iuliano said Generation 12 members range from singers in schools to people from multicultural dance groups.
He added that the pastor has a background in film and TV and a long-term goal for group members was to use their talents in film.
“We would like to create movies down the track,” he said.
Anyone is welcome to take part in the free event which will be held on the lawn area near Switch.
Mr Iuliano urged anyone to join in from noon until 3pm.
