PENNANT RESULTS
TUESDAY
CRANBOURNE RSL 68 d DANDENONG CLUB 46
Cranbourne RSL made it four wins in a row with a strong victory over the Dandenong Club by 22 shots.
Yvonne van der Wees’ side was the big winner with a 16-shot triumph, but all three sides won making it a clean sweep for the first time this season.
Results: Aggie Pichard, Graham Dore, Margaret McIntyre and Yvonne Van Der Wees won 25-9. Paul Kofler, Colin Butler, Ray Bligh and John Spencer won 22-18. Denise Meulman, Barry Rogers. Helena Rogers and Ray Chapman won 21-19.
SATURDAY
The Division 5 side saved the RSL’s Saturday bowlers from a bad day at the office by winning its first game of the year. Well done.
DIVISION 2 – BURDEN PARK 103 d CRANBOURNE RSL 51
It was a pretty ordinary day for the team playing at Burden Park, with two rinks taking a beating and the other two just going down.
Results: Ray Bligh, Jesus Carretero, Fred Scicluna and Ken Hocking lost 18-21. Barry Graham, Ken Walker, Yvonne van der Wees and Ray Chapman lost 17-21. Jim Grant, Karen Hickson, Steve Hickson and Walter Brannan lost 7-28. Alan Reynold, Maree Hodges, Rick Crawford and Bill Bradbury lost 9-33.
DIVISION 5 – CRANBOURNE RSL 83 d OAKLEIGH 61
John Spencer once again led the way with a 13-shot win and well done to new skip John Vowles whose team won by six shots.
Results: Cyril Arlove, Kate Currie, Rob Elliott and John Spencer won 27-14. Aggie Pichard, Denise Meulman, Graham Dore and Max Eames won 21-13. Iteje Maat, Greg Jones, Ken McLeod and John Vowler won 20-14. David Angee, Marg McIntyre, Marijan Bobetic and Michael Ryan lost 15-20.
DIVISION 8 (3) – MURRUMBEENA 41 d CRANBOURNE RSL 33
Not much in this game with Doug Ambrose’s team nearly getting the RSL over the line with a four-shot victory.
Results: Tom Hodges, Paul Kofler, Brian Mason and Doug Ambrose won 18-14. Joe Hart, Joe Oxenbury, Max Pearson and Percy Leake lost 15-27.
DIVISION 8 (4) – CARDINIA WATERS 59 d CRANBOURNE RSL 29
Not a good day for the team but there is always next week.
Results: Peter Campion, Peter Zimmerman, Laurie Meagher and Arthur Underwood lost 14-32. Marg Mills, Harry Mills, Chris Stevenson and Murray Bulte lost 15-27.
King of Rink this week was the team of Aggie Pichard, Marg McIntyre, Greg Dore and Yvonne van der Wees who finished their match 16 shots up.
