THE fashion stakes will be higher than ever at this year’s TAB Cranbourne Cup with more prizes on offer than ever before.
Fashionable fillies are sure to turn heads trackside on Sunday 12 October as they try and catch the judges’ eyes in the 2014 Cranbourne Fashions on the Field.
The competition will be hotly contested with a prize pool of more than $5000 including a De Bortoli Wines prize pack, Review and Front Row Style clothing vouchers, Brazilian Butterfly and Ella Bache beauty vouchers and Alice Goes Out millinery voucher.
This year’s judges, who will be casting their eyes over the season’s latest trends, will be renowned milliner Annette Sanfilippo, 2014 Face of Mornington Racing Club, model and milliner Caitrin O’Rourke and personal stylist and actress Claire O’Brien. Racing identity and jockey Casey Bruce will be the presenter.
There will be two categories on the day, Rococo Lady of the Day and Rococo Young Lady of the Day, with close to $2000 worth of prizes for the winner of each and almost $1000 for the runner-up.
“The standard of the Fashions on the Field at Cranbourne is always very high and with such a great prize pool on offer, this year will be no exception,” Ms O’Rourke said.
“What I look for is an outfit that is race day and weather appropriate and that suits the person’s individual style.
“The judges will be looking for the complete package including the clothing, millinery and accessories.
“If ladies follow styles that are true to themselves and feel comfortable in what they are wearing, then that will shine through.
“I really enjoy the racing at Cranbourne and I’m looking forward to seeing all the ladies in their race wear next weekend.”
The Fashions on the Field enclosure will have a great vibe on the day with the addition of the De Bortoli Wine Bar on site, serving Rococo sparkling wine and strawberries dipped in chocolate.
The Cranbourne Turf Club would like to thank sponsors De Bortoli Wines, Review Frankston, Brazilian Butterfly Berwick, Ella Bache Frankston, Front Row Style online boutique and Alice Goes Out millinery for their support.
Ladies can register at the Fashions on the Fields between 11.45am and 12.45pm on the day or pre-register online at www.cranbourneturfclub.com.au
