Footy fashion in the classroom

By BRIDGET SCOTT

RIVARLY was at its finest at Tooradin Primary School when students painted the school red, yellow, black and blue.
A brightly coloured footy day bounced around again for another year, with plenty of passionate supporters to be found.
Despite the cold and clouds, teacher Lauren O’Toole said it was still a big success.
“In true footy fashion the children still managed to enjoy a variety of footy activities run by the school leaders,” she said.
Local footballers were also part of the action on the day.
“The students were thrilled when some of the senior players from Tooradin Football Club volunteered their time to run a skills clinic on the day,” Ms O’Toole said.
There was no shortage of screaming during the parade with plenty of the countries football clubs well represented.
“There was plenty of cheering throughout the parade which featured all of the AFL footy clubs, a few NRL and soccer supporters and even a few hot dog sellers and cheerleaders,” said Ms O’Toole.
“It was fantastic to see the children enjoy the parade and support their teams and friends after a busy term.”
Despite their footy team, many of the students still went home winners as a treat for their dedicated efforts on the day.
